Information the service handles
If you create an account, the authentication service handles your email address, password credential, confirmation and recovery activity, sessions, and security factors. If you share a prayer request, the service stores its title and text, category, audience, attribution choice, optional first name, the displayed audience and participation policy versions, review state, and later requester actions. Prayer acknowledgements and reports create limited records for activity and abuse review. You can request prayer at any age; no age confirmation or date of birth is collected. Older requests may retain the confirmation recorded under the previous policy.
Public and restricted prayer choices
A Public Prayer Wall request may be read by anyone after review. A Prayer Team Only request stays private with authorized reviewers and team members. Prayer Team + Public Wall shares the same reviewed request with both audiences. Choosing an anonymous display means your name is not shown with the request; authorized operators may still access the account and request information needed to operate, secure, and moderate the service.
Device and service data
The journey checklist is stored in your browser on that device and is not synchronized to an account. A short-lived, server-checked verification question helps deter automated submissions. Verification records contain a request identifier, a technical visitor or account identifier, an expiry and a digest of the submission, not a copy of its text. The service uses the browser storage, cookies, and technical request data needed for sign-in, session security, guest submissions, optional account connection, prayer acknowledgements, reliability, and abuse prevention. You can submit without an account. A signed browser cookie lasts up to 24 hours, and an optional receipt in this browser tab allows you to connect your request to a verified account. The receipt stores a request identifier, not the prayer text.
Website activity and performance
On public website pages, we measure page visits, broad referral and device categories, visible sections and links, focused time, scroll depth, selected link clicks, supported message-video playback, and page performance. We also measure the start of contact and guest forms without reading their contents. Approved campaign tags help us understand shared links; arbitrary tags and other query values are discarded. A random identifier in this browser tab groups public activity into visits and changes after 30 minutes without activity. The reporting database stores a protected representation of that identifier, not your account identity, IP address, full referring address, form entries, or prayer text. These measurement records are retained for 65 days. This measurement respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control and excludes recognized staff browsers, preview hosts, and account and prayer pages, including the public prayer landing page. We do not record sessions or mouse movements. Hosting providers may maintain their own technical logs as described below. We also measure supported browser install reports, first recorded app opens, installed app visits and selections of Get the Evangel App, with broad platform categories. To avoid repeating a first-open count, app storage holds a pending random receipt until acknowledged, then a recorded marker. This marker stays until app storage is cleared; it does not identify you across visits. The same privacy exclusions and 65-day measurement retention apply.
Optional Google Analytics
If Evangel enables Google Analytics 4, Google receives approved public page views, broad search or social referral information and browser/device information. Google uses analytics cookies to distinguish browsers and visits; its retention settings are managed in Evangel's Google Analytics account. We disable advertising features and do not send account identifiers, prayer activity, form contents, full referring addresses or URL query values. These reports are separate from Evangel's website analytics.
Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control and the choice below prevent Google Analytics from loading. This choice applies to this browser and remains until its storage is cleared.

How information is used and shared
Information is used to provide accounts and prayer features, review and publish the audience you selected, deliver in-app activity, respond to support requests, protect the service, and comply with applicable obligations. Service providers that host the application, database, authentication, and required account email process information on the ministry’s behalf. The hosting platform may provide basic traffic information such as page visits, device category, referral source, and country so the service can be maintained. The current MVP does not include advertising, payment checkout, or public member lists. We do not sell personal information or use prayer-request content for advertising.
Retention and your choices
Requests are designed for a finite prayer lifecycle rather than permanent publication. Information is retained only as reasonably needed to operate and protect the service, honor review and removal decisions, and meet applicable obligations. To ask for access, correction, account removal, or deletion review, contact us from the email address tied to your account, if you have one. Guest submitters can also contact us for help; we may need to verify their request before making changes. Some records may need to be retained where required for security, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.
